“Siesta Glow” 24”x36” oil on canvas
Title: “Siesta Glow” 24”x36” oil on stretched canvas
This painting is a meditation on the quiet majesty of evening at Siesta Key Beach, Florida. Known for its powder-soft sand and calm Gulf waters, Siesta Key offers some of the most luminous sunsets I’ve ever witnessed—where the sky seems to melt into the sea, and time briefly stands still.
With this piece, I sought to capture that suspended moment between light and dark, where color floods the horizon in deep violets, soft golds, and fiery magentas. The shoreline, barely lit, becomes a quiet witness to the sky’s final expression of the day. My brushwork is deliberately soft, aiming to reflect both the serenity of the place and the transient nature of sunset itself.
This work is not just a landscape—it’s an invitation to pause, to breathe, and to remember the beauty found in endings. It reflects my deep connection to coastal Florida and the timeless rhythm of the tides.
